First Mega City Infrastructure Week to kick off in Dubai
Active infrastructure projects in the Middle East grew to $1.14 trillion

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai is set to host the inaugural Mega City Infrastructure Week featuring more than 15 countries on 16 and 17 April.

Mega infrastructure projects in the Middle East will be showcased in the two-day event, along with sharing innovative infrastructure designs and holding talks around creating smart infrastructure of the future, according to a statement.

The event, organised by IQPC Middle East, will also host experts from the City of Rome and Smart City Association of Italy, Spain’s Barcelona Provincial Council, the UK’s Infrastructure and Projects Authority, and the Saudi Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.

The total value of active infrastructure projects in the Middle East grew to $1.14 trillion with the UAE and Saudi Arabia being among the world’s top 12 markets for infrastructure investment.  

According to a survey conducted by IQPC Middle East, more than half of 300 construction professionals placed sustainable solutions as their top priority. 

In addition, technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and big data were seen by 85% of the respondents to have a significant impact on infrastructure projects in the future.

“Mega City Infrastructure Week will attract over 500 attendees from more than 15 countries and an impressive line-up of leading solution providers exhibiting at the event,” Mega City Infrastructure Week’s managing director, Ayusha Tyagi, said.
