TASI sheds 32 pts; Nomu rises modestly at Sunday’s close
The pharmaceuticals sector was the top decliner after sliding 1.09%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended a four-session winning streak after dropping 32.63 points, or 0.36%, to close at 9,055.34 points on Sunday.

TASI’s liquidity retreated to SAR 2.5 billion ($666.13 million) on Sunday from SAR 3.5 billion ($936.3 million) in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume decreased to 100.7 million shares, compared to 132.5 million on Thursday.

The pharmaceuticals sector was the top decliner after sliding 1.09%, while the banking, telecommunications, and basic materials sectors went down 0.67%, 0.27%, and 0.13%, respectively.

On the other hand, the food retail sector topped gainers and advanced 3.3%, followed by the energy sector with 0.84%.

Allied Cooperative Insurance Group’s stock led fallers with 5.92%, whereas CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the top riser after adding 7.2%.

Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock led TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 331.3 million, while the stock of Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons registered the highest trading volume of 5 million shares.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, rose 8.69 points, or 0.24% to finish the first session of the week at 3,688.5 points.

Development Works Food’s was Nomu’s best performer with 11.7%, while Arab Sea Information System’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer after retreating 2.5%.
