Mubasher: More than 3,000 oil industry experts are visiting Oman to prepare for the World Heavy Oil Congress and Exhibition (WHOC).

WHOC, hosted by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), will take place during the period between 2 and 4 September at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, according to a press release on Sunday.

“The [Omani] Ministry of Oil and Gas is proud to fully support the Technical Conference and WHOC,” director general of Planning and Studies at the Ministry of Oil and Gas and 2019 Congress co-chairman Saleh Al Anboori said.

 “Oman has extensive expertise in developing heavy oil effectively and in an environmentally-friendly way,” Junaid Ghulam, field development manager at PDO and co-chairman of the event, noted.

WHOC is a key event for Oman and other participants to showcase their experiences and investments in the oil industry.
