TASI grows 33 pts; Nomu falls at Monday’s close
The basic materials sector topped gainers and advanced 0.88%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Monday’s trading session in green territory after adding32.79  points, or 0.36%, to close at 9,088.13 points.

TASI’s liquidity climbed to SAR 3.1 billion ($827.2 million) on Monday from SAR2.5  billion ($666.13 million) in the previous session, while the main market’s traded volume increased to123.84  million shares, compared to101.51  million on Sunday. 

The basic materials sector topped gainers and advanced  0.88%, while the banking sector rose 0.27%.

On the other hand, the energy sector headed fallers with 1.36%, whereas the telecommunications sector retreated 0.27%.

Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the top riser after adding 6.46%, while the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia’s (Bahri) stock led decliners and slid 3.04%.

Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock spearheaded TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 349.85 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock registered the highest trading volume of 5.72 million shares.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, inched down2.83  points, or 0.08%, to finish at 3,685.67 points.

The stock of Al-Samaani Factory For Metal Industries was Nomu’s worst performer with 10.2%, while Arab Sea Information System’s stock was Nomu’s best performer after rising 3.13%.
