Cairo – Mubasher: The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) is in talks over two loan facilities worth $370 million and EUR 80 million with several international entities, MSMEDA director said.
The MSMEDA is also in talks with the World Bank Group to get a $200 million financing and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to obtain a $120 million loan facility, Nevine Gamea added in an interview with Xtra News.
The state-run agency is also negotiating with the Arab Monetary Fund to get EGP 50 million in financing, Gamea noted.
She indicated that the agency has received a EUR 50 million fund from the French Development Agency to support and finance Egyptian women.
Moreover, the MSMEDA is currently approaching the German development bank KfW to obtain a EUR 30 million loan facility, she highlighted.
The MSMEDA is committed to paying all its financial dues to the international funds, Gamea stressed.
