Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Thursday’s trading session with a mixed performance after the All-Share and Premier markets inched up 0.32% and 0.49%, respectively, while the Main Market index shed 0.12%.
By 9:40 am Kuwait time, the banking sector led gainers with 0.52%, while the insurance sector was worst performer with 6.1%.
Hilal Cement’s stock topped risers after jumping 9.45%, while the stock of Gulf Insurance Group led losers after slumping 15.71%.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume reached 45.2 million shares exchanged through 1,655 transactions at a turnover of KWD 9 million.
The Gulf Bank of Kuwait’s (GBK) stock, which fell 0.96%, topped the bourse in terms of volume and value after 6.06 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of KWD 1.9 million.
