Dubai – Mubasher: Assistant undersecretary for public health policy and licensing at the UAE’s ministry of health and prevention (MoHAP) on Saturday opened a new plant for Geltec Healthcare FZE at the National Industries Park (NIP) of DP World.

Geltec invested AED 110 million ($29.95 million) in the building of the new plant, which will have the capacity to produce 1.5 billion tablets per year, according to a company statement.

The statement added that there are 20 medical manufacturing plants in the UAE, which will be increased to 36 by the end of 2021.
