Mubasher: National Hotels, listed on Bahrain Bourse, has logged BHD 603,800 in profits for the first quarter of 2019, surging 161.5% from BHD 230,800 in the year-ago period, according to a bourse filing.

The hospitality company’s revenue jumped to BHD 1.85 million in Q1-19, versus BHD 1.46 million in the same quarter a year earlier, the filing showed.

In 2018, National Hotels recorded a net profit of BHD 1.125 million, compared to BHD 2.177 million a year ago.

The decline in National Hotels’ annual profits resulted from a decrease of 23.2% year-on-year in the operating margin which fell to BHD 1.976 million last year from BHD 2.573 million.
