Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Sunday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by the announcement of first-quarter financial statements.

The general index increased by 54.30 points, or 1.03%, ending the first session of the week at 5,346.30 points, the highest level since 2006.

By the end of the session, the ADX’s market capitalisation grew AED 5.5 billion, recording AED 539.33 billion.

The commodities sector topped risers and added 2.33% as ASMAK and Agthia levelled up 3.3% and 2.6%, respectively.

Similarly, the real estate sector went up 2.18% as RAK Properties and Aldar Properties advanced 2.7% and 2.14%, respectively, while the services sector grew 1.44% on the back of National Corporation for Tourism’s 1.6% increase.

The banks sector levelled up 1.3%, followed by the energy sector with 0.41%.
