Emaar props up DFM at Sunday’s close
Market capitalisation gained AED 669 million

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Sunday’s trading session with positive performance, pushed up by of Emaar’s stock, in addition to the approaching distribution of cash dividends.  

The DFM’s general index levelled up 0.24%, or 6.87 points, ending the first session of the week at 2,820.78 points.

By the end of the session, the bourse’s market capitalisation gained AED 669 million, recording AED 366.22 billion.

The investment sector topped risers and added 1.3% as Dubai Investments and DFM Company grew 1.88% and 0.61%, respectively.

Similarly, the real estate sector went up 0.78% as Deyaar Development and Emaar Development advanced 3.7% and 2.3%, respectively.

However, several companies including Emaar Malls and Emaar Development are expected to announce their financials over this week.

The telecommunication sector and its sole stock, du, went up 0.78% each.
