ADX snaps three-session losing streak Wednesday
Market capitalisation fell by AED 2.4 billion

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has fallen for the third day in a row, dragged down by three major sectors.

The ADX’s general index closed Wednesday’s trading session at 4,777.57 points after shedding 25.01 points or 0.52%.

Market capitalisation fell by AED 2.4 billion and ended the session at AED 491.553 billion, versus AED 493.953 billion on Tuesday.

Trading volume amounted to 47.80 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 287.811 through 1,810 transactions.

The real estate sector dropped 2.33% as Aldar Properties fell by 2.34% and the energy sector tumbled 1.43$ as Dana Das sagged 2.34%.

Likewise, the telecommunication sector slid 0.89% as Etisalat fell by the same percentage and the banks sector dipped 0.26% after the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) slipped 0.57%.

On the other hand, the industrial sector added 0.15% on the back of RAK Cement which jumped 7.45% and the insurance sector inched up 0.07% as Methaq Takaful’s stock rose by 3.81%.
