Mubasher: Gold went down at Thursday’s settlement, marking its lowest level since 9 May.  

Comex June gold lost $11.6, or 0.9%, to close at $1,286.2 per ounce.  

By 08:18 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, grew 0.31% to 97.85.
