EGX ends Sunday in red on Arab, foreign sales
Market capitalisation lost about EGP 7.48 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session in red territory.

The benchmark EGX30 index dropped by 139 points, or 1.02%, finishing the session at 13,520 points on Sunday, compared to 13,659 points on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went down 1.25% to close at 601.34 points, while the broader EGX100 index slid 1.25% to 1,527 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 1.34% to close at 2,025.37 points.

Market capitalisation lost about EGP 7.48 billion to EGP 741.46 billion from EGP 748.94 billion in the previous session.

Trading volume stood at nearly 68 million securities exchanged at a turnover of EGP 528 million through about 11,900 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 12.52 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 5.1 million and EGP 7.4 million, respectively.
