TASI gains 140 pts; Nomu in red at Tuesday’s close
TASI’s turnover retreated to SAR 2.77 billion

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose by 140.42 points, or 1.66%, to close at 8,609.35 points on Tuesday.

TASI’s turnover retreated to SAR 2.77 billion on Tuesday, compared to SAR 4 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume shrank to 113.76 million shares from 125.37 million on Monday.

The telecommunications sector topped gainers and jumped 3.05%, followed by the investment sector which rose by 2.27%.

Meanwhile, the banking sector grew by 1.97%, while the basic materials sector added 1.6%.

On the other hand, the retailing sector headed decliners after sliding 1.49%, followed by the food retailing sector which dropped by 0.92%.

Al-Baha Investment and Development’s stock topped risers and hiked by 10%, whereas Jarir Marketing’s stock led fallers with 2.62%.  

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, retreated 79 points, or 2.27%, to finish the mid-week session at 3,401.2 points.

Thob Al Aseel’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer after plunging by 4.51%.
