Mubasher: Gold settled higher on Wednesday, as minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee showed near consensus over patient stance on interest rates.

Comex June gold rose $1, or 0.2%, to close at $1,274.2 per ounce.  

By 08:09 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, inched down 0.01% to 98.05.
