QSE sheds over 141 pts in week
The real estate sector dropped 6.02% in a week

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index lost 141.35 points, or 1.43%, to 9,730.52 points in a week, recording its third successive weekly decline.

Market capitalisation went down to QAR 538.19 billion ($147.81 billion) over the week, compared to QAR 549.66 billion ($150.96 billion) a week earlier.

The real estate sector dropped 6.02% in a week, while the banking and the consumer goods sectors levelled down 2.94% each.

The transport, insurance, and telecommunications sectors retreated 1.13%, 0.76%, and 0.67%, respectively.  

Meanwhile, the industrial sector grew 1.55% this week.

The QSE’s trading volume reached 72.65 million shares over the week, while the market’s liquidity hit QAR 1.79 billion.
