Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The telecommunication and investments sectors have weighed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Sunday, the first trading session of the week.

The ADX’s general index has closed the session slightly down by 0.05% at 4,774.75 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 19.826 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 64.535 million.

Market capitalisation closed at AED 491.368 billion, losing AED 129 million from AED 491.497 billion last Thursday.

The telecommunication sector led the decliners with a 0.39% decrease as Etisalat fell by the same percentage, while the investment sector slipped 0.48% when Eshraaq fell 3.22%.

On the other hand, the banks sector inched up 0.03% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) rose 1.03%, followed by the energy and consumer goods sectors which added 0.12% and 1.79%, respectively.
