Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 1.49% to finish the session at 13,981 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index grew by 0.31% to 605.5 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.5% to close at 1,544 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index increased by 1.53% to finish the session at 2,105 points.

Market capitalization gained about EGP 6.67 billion to EGP 758.32 billion on Sunday, compared to EGP 751.65 billion on Thursday.

Trading volume stood at about 115.65 million securities exchanged at a turnover of EGP 379.23 million through 13,893 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 78.9 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 60.1 million and EGP 18.8 million, respectively.
