Cairo - Mubasher: Egyptian bus booking service startup Swvl is planning to inject EGP 1 billion in Egypt during the coming two years, co-founder and CEO of Swvl revealed.
The transportation startup has invested about EGP 300-400 million in the last two years in the Egyptian market, Moustafa Kandil told Mubasher.
With 2,000 buses in Cairo, Alexandria, and Nairobi, Swvl aims to increase the number of buses to 13,000 within the next two years, he added.
Kandil also revealed plans to expand in African and Asian countries in the coming period.
Swvl earlier announced signing a partnership agreement with Ford to use Ford Transit minibus as the preferred vehicle of choice.
