Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian companies will participate in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2019 for the first time in a bid to gain a footprint and boost existing investment in the US, the largest consumer market in the world.

Running from 10 to 12 June, the summit is the highest profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the US, according to a recent statement issued by the US Embassy in Egypt.

Egypt’s companies participating in the event represent an array of industry sectors.

The Egyptian participants include ElSewedy Electric, EN Investment, Egyptian American Group, Global Consolidated Contractors, Digital Cloud Platforms, Pyramids Telecom, and FedEx licensee Egypt Express.

Additionally, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, which played a significant role in the recruitment process, will be joining the delegation at SelectUSA to further the important work of cementing ties between Egyptian and American companies.

“We worked hard to recruit these outstanding Egyptian companies to participate in SelectUSA. There are many new opportunities for Egyptian and American companies thanks to the strong performance of both our economies,” the US charge d'Affaires in Egypt Thomas Goldberger commented.

It is worth noting that the coming edition of the SelectUSA Investment Summit will host up to 2,800 participants, representing 63 markets.

The event focuses on promoting the US as the world’s premier investment destination and connects qualified foreign firms with US economic development organisations (EDOs) to facilitate business investment and job creation.

The three-day summit will focus on the US investment environment, industry trends, and new opportunities, in addition to featuring senior government officials, C-Suite business executives, and other thought leaders.
