Port Said collects EGP 156m customs of cars in May
Port Said has issued clearance for 261 private passenger cars

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority has collected around EGP 155.9 million in customs duties imposed on cars at Port Said Free Zone in May, a source told Middle East News Agency (MENA).

Port Said Free Zone has issued customs clearance for cars, trucks, and spare parts at a combined value of EGP 658.69 million last month.

A total of 261 private passenger cars of various models, as well as 31 special needs vehicles valued at EGP 340.67 million have been cleared and an amount of EGP 77.64 million has been collected in revenues in the fifth month of 2019. 

In addition, trucks worth EGP 79.38 million have been cleared and around EGP 17.07 million has been paid in customs.

Meanwhile, spare parts valued at EGP 238.62 million have been cleared, along with collecting EGP 60.35 million in revenues.
