Kuwait's non-oil exports grow 17% YoY in May
Iraq was Kuwait's main importer

Mubasher: Kuwait's non-oil exports increased by 17% to KWD 9.4 million ($31 million) in May, compared to KWD 8 million ($26.5 million) in the year-ago period.

Kuwaiti non-oil exports to Arab countries, excluding the GCC members, reached KWD 4.4 million ($14.5 million) in May, while exports to foreign countries recorded KWD 5 million ($16.5 million) in the same period.

The oil-rich country’s exports to the GCC states amounted to KWD 2.5 million ($8.3 million) last month, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

“Iraq was Kuwait's main importer, followed by Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia, while Qatar topped the list of GCC importers, chased by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Bahrain,” KUNA reported.

Italy led Kuwait’s foreign importers, followed by Turkey, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, and Portugal.
