Huawei never asked to do ‘anything untoward’ – Cybersecurity head

Mubasher: Huawei had never been asked by Beijing or any other government worldwide “to do anything untoward,” the Chinese behemoth’s cyber-security chief John Suffolk said in an interview with BBC News.

“We want people to find things, whether they find one or one thousand, we don't care,” Suffolk added.

It is worth noting that the White House has been pushing allies to exclude Huawei from their fifth-generation (5G) networks, on allegations that its equipment can be accessed by the Chinese government for espionage and surveillance purposes.

“We stand naked in front of the world, but we would prefer to do that because it enables us to improve our products,” the executive said.
