Saudi Arabia injects SAR 4bn in road maintenance contracts
The move comes along with the kingdom’s strategy to promote road safety

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Transport has signed 110 contracts valued at SAR 4.3 billion for the operation, maintenance and cleaning of roads throughout the Kingdom during the period between 2019 and 2022, Arab News reported.

“The contracts cater to the needs of each region. They were awarded to various Saudi companies, and are intended to promote road safety and maintenance,” Nabeel Alamudi, Saudi Transport Minister, said during the signing ceremony.

Alamudi added that the move comes along with the kingdom’s strategy to promote road safety and maintenance.

“The ministry has developed and upgraded contracts, and established performance indicators to meet the Saudi leadership’s expectations,” Tarek Al-Shami, the Transport Ministry’s undersecretary for road operation and maintenance, concluded.
