Mubasher: Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Thursday said that the US natural gas inventories climbed by 102 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ended 7 June, totalling 2,088 Bcf.

Stockpiles were 189 Bcf higher than past year’s figure, while they were 230 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,318 Bcf.

Following the release of the data, Nymex natural gas futures dropped by 1.17% to $2.36 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).
