Cairo – Mubasher: The number of real estate companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) reached 36 with a combined market capitalisation of EGP 80 billion, EGX chairman, Mohamed Farid, said. 

Return on real estate stocks reached 18% with profit margins of about 39%, Farid added during the fifth session of the ‘Builders of Egypt’ forum.

After the listing, capital of six large-cap companies increased to EGP 14.5 billion from EGP 1.5 billion, while capital of seven medium-cap companies rose to EGP 2 billion from EGP 844 million.

Meanwhile, capital of 23 small-cap real estate companies grew to EGP 1.3 billion from EGP 660 million before listing on the Egyptian bourse.
