EGX ends Tuesday in red on local sales
Market capitalisation lost about EGP 3.35 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session with a sideways-to-declining performance.

The benchmark EGX30 index fell by 0.27% to finish the session at 14,202 points.  

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went down 0.29% to close at 604.25 points, while the broader EGX100 index retreated 0.32% to 1,544.13 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index dropped by 0.81% to close at 2,104.46 points.

Market capitalisation lost about EGP 3.35 billion to close at EGP 757.03 billion on Tuesday, compared to EGP 760.38 billion on Monday.

Trading volume reached about 96.04 million shares at a turnover of EGP 1.41 billion through about 13,360 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 551.34 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 3.17 million and EGP 548.16 million, respectively.
