Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced the launch of the country’s first e-portal in financial technology, aiming to advance efforts towards a cashless society, according to a recent statement.

FinTech Egypt portal is one of the main outputs of financial technology and innovation strategy revealed by CBE earlier, the statement added. 

This step came as part of plans towards the digital transformation of the nation’s economy and financial inclusion, CBE’s deputy governor, Ayman Hussein, said.

The new portal aims to engage all entities in the financial technology industry including entrepreneurs, financial institutions, financial technology providers, experts, and investors, he added.
