ADX ends Wednesday in red
Trading volume amounted to nearly 40.261 million shares

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a bearish trend on Wednesday, losing AED 3.729 billion.

The ADX’s general index has ended the session down by 0.67% at 4,955.95 points, shedding 33.46 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 40.261 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 245.789 billion.

The banks sector slid 0.81% as the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) dipped 0.41% and 0.43%, respectively.

The telecommunication sector tumbled 0.72% as Etisalat fell by the same percentage.

Likewise, the energy sector slid 0.65 when Dana Gas and ADNOC went down by 0.95% and 0.37%, respectively.

Market capitalisation closed the session at AED 506.659 billion, versus AED 510.388 billion on Tuesday.
