Boursa Kuwait closes Wednesday lower unlike forecasts
KFH posted the highest liquidity of KWD 10.2 million

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session in decline, despite the analysts’ expectations of ending the session in green after the announcement of promoting Boursa Kuwait to list on the MSCI Emerging Markets list.

The All-Share Market index went down 0.47% or 27.21 points to close at 5,802.19 points.

Similarly, both the Main and Premier markets retreated 0.15% and 0.58%, respectively.

The real estate sector led seven decliners with 1.54%, while the consumer goods segment topped four gainers with 2.86%.

Tamdeen Real Estate was the top loser with 9.78%, while Tamdeen Investment headed the winners with 15.44%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 20% to KWD 48.76 million on Wednesday from KWD 40.65 million in the previous session, in line with a growth of 1.8% in the trading volume to 145.74 million shares from 143.19 million.

KFH posted the highest liquidity of KWD 10.2 million, the stock added 0.57%.

Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 19.21 million shares were exchanged, the stock went up 3.03%.
