Mubasher: The All-Share Market index closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.59% or 34.66 points higher at 5,918.25 points.
Similarly, the Premier Market index added 0.82% to exceed the 6,500-point level, while the Main Market retreated by 0.06%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover grew by 9.6% to KWD 48.68 million on Wednesday from KWD 44.4 million in the previous session, after the trading volume increased by 5.9% to 168.98 million shares from 159.55 million.
Boursa Kuwait witnessed a positive performance for the Premier Market index which exceeded the 6,500-point level; this reflects the ongoing momentum in the stock market, capital market analyst Badar Al Badr told Mubasher.
The All-Share Market index also performs positively in the current time, as it exceeded the 5,900-point level to face a resistance at 5,950 points. Therefore, the index will have a main target of breaking the 6,000-point level, the analyst added.
The technology segment topped nine gainers with 5.56%, while the real estate and basic materials sectors were the only decliners with 0.29% and 0.38%, respectively.
Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co was the top winner with 9.8%, while Ektittab Holding led the losers with 5.88%.
KFH posted the highest trading value of KWD 11.41 million, the stock went up 1.23%.
AUB Bahrain was the most active stock on which 21.54 million shares were exchanged, the stock added 2.23%.
