Abu Dhabi’s foreign trade drops 7.2% YoY in April 2019
Australia ranked the first among countries exporting to Abu Dhabi

UAE – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi’s foreign trade decreased by 7.2% Year-on-Year in April 2019, according to recent data issued by the Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

The data indicated that Abu Dhabi’s trade tumbled to AED 19.673 billion in April 2019, versus AED 21.188 billion in the same period of the year earlier.

The imports declined from AED 11.354 billion in April 2018 to AED 10.179 billion in April 2019.

On the other side, the non-oil exports of Abu Dhabi jumped to AED 5.358 billion, versus AED 4.861 billion in the same period a year earlier.

Moreover, the re-exports plunged to AED 4.136 billion in April this year from AED 4.973 billion in April 2018.

It is worth to mention that Saudi Arabia came at the top of the countries importing from Abu Dhabi with a total of AED 3.994 billion, representing a 76.3% year-on-year increase, followed by Kuwait with a value of AED 392.24 million, India at a value of AED 389.34 million, and China with AED 308.66 million worth of exports from Abu Dhabi.

Also, Australia ranked the first among countries exporting to Abu Dhabi with a value of AED 2.034 billion, followed by Saudi Arabia with AED 1.098 billion, Japan for AED 1.068 billion, and the United States for AED 936.49 million.
