Mubasher: The All-Share and the Main markets of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session with a rise of 0.02% and 0.17%, respectively, while the Premier Market retreated 0.03%.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity decreased by 32% to KWD 38.64 million on Sunday from KWD 56.81 million in the previous session, while the trading volume grew by 1.2% to 238.07 million shares from 235.24 million.

The All-Share Market index continued its upward performance for the thirteenth consecutive session on Sunday, impacted by the Premier Market, capital market analyst Moustafa Al Jarhi told Mubasher.

The profit-taking activity reflected on the stock market’s liquidity, after the stocks have reached good price levels, the analyst said.

Al Jarhi expected that Boursa Kuwait’s indices would regain the collective upward performance in the end of this week as investors exchange positions on operating stocks and blue chips, as well as low-price penny stocks.

The financial services segment topped six gainers with 0.73%, while the consumer services sector led four decliners with 0.48%.

Hilal Cement was the top winner with 13.13%, while Al Deera Holding led the losers with 13.04%.
