Mubasher: The US natural gas storage increased by 62 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ended 12 July, to a total of 2,533 Bcf, Energy Information Administration (EIA) stated in its weekly report.

Stockpiles were 291 Bcf higher than past year’s figure, and they were 143 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,676 Bcf.

Following the release of the data, Nymex natural gas futures rose by 1% to $2.33 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).
