Cairo – Mubasher: The trade exchange between Egypt and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) reached $2.31 billion in 2018, compared to $1.64 billion the year before.

Egyptian exports to COMESA surged 34.5% year-on-year to $1.52 billion last year, Egypt’s trade ministry said.

The North African country’s imports from the free trade area soared 56.8% to $792 million in 2018 versus $505 million a year earlier.
