ADX adds 17.2 pts on Sunday
The ADX’s general index inched up 17.24 points

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of the banks sector.

The ADX’s general index inched up 17.24 points, or 0.33%, to 5,235.37 points.

Trading volume amounted to 69.871 million shares exchanged through 811 transactions at a turnover of AED 87.479 million.

Market capitalisation ended the session at AED 534.681 billion, gaining AED 686 million.

The energy, the telecommunication, and the real estate sectors tumbled 0.92%, 0.69%, and 0.48%, respectively, while the banks sector was the sole riser.

Ras Al Khaimah Cement led the rising blue-chip stocks with an increase of 3.69% to AED 0.65, while Gulf Cement’s stock, down 6% to AED 0.85, headed losers.

Etisalat was the most active stock in terms of liquidity with a turnover of AED 15.489 million.
