Boursa Kuwait closes Thursday higher for 2nd session in row
KAMCO Investment headed the winners with 9.93%

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session higher for the second session in a row amid active trading.

The All-Share Market index went up 0.55% or 33.09 points to close at 6,080.24 points, the Main Market added 0.23%, and the Premier Market gained 0.66%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 40.7% to KWD 31.92 million on Thursday when compared to KWD 22.69 million in the previous session, while the trading volume grew by 31.7% to 143.97 million shares from 109.34 million.

Boursa Kuwait has succeeded to rebound with an upward performance during the sessions of Thursday and Wednesday in line with a noticeable improvement in both value and volume, capital market analyst Ziad Faqih told Mubasher.

Next week, the stock market will need to confirm its positive trend on Sunday, the analyst said, adding that it will be a positive rebound if the All-Share Market index regains its resistance above 6,100 points.

The insurance segment topped eight gainers with 2.06%, while the consumer goods and consumer services sectors were the only decliners with 0.31% and 0.2%, respectively.

KAMCO Investment headed the winners with 9.93%, while the United Projects Company for Aviation Services (UPAC) led the losers with 9.09%.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recorded the highest trading value of KWD 5.41 million, the stock went up 0.2%.

Aayan Leasing and Investment, up 0.37%, was the most active stock on which around 809,310 shares were traded.
