Banks drag down Saudi market at Thursday’s close
TASI’s traded volume reached 87.61 million shares by the end of Thursday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading session with negative performance, pressured by the fall of the banking sector.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went down by 0.76%, or 66.23 points, ending the session at 8,666.39 points.

TASI’s traded volume reached 87.61 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 2.65 billion through 130,134 transactions.

The banking sector topped the decliners falling 1.24%, followed by the real estate sector with 0.97%.

Similarly, the material sector retreated by 0.42%.

On the other hand, the telecommunication sector headed the risers adding 0.33%.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went down by 0.52%, or 19.90 points, reaching 3,819.63 points.
