Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session in negative territory.

The All-Share Market index declined by 0.33%, or 20.06 points, to 6,106.4 points, while the Main Market index and the Premier Market index fell by 0.11% and 0.4%, respectively.

The bourse’s turnover shrank by 29.4% to KWD 26.17 million on Sunday from KWD 37.09 million on Thursday, while the market’s trading volume plunged by 25.2% to 140.11 million shares, compared to 187.39 million in the previous trading session.

The basic materials sector headed fallers and slid by 1.56%, while oil and gas sector topped gainers after adding 2.63%.

Credit Rating and Collection (Tahssilat) led decliners with 10%, while National Shooting Co was the top gainer with 9.09%.

Boubyan Petrochemical’s stock, down 1.02 %, topped Boursa Kuwait in terms of trading value after generating a turnover of KWD 3.75 million, while Arzan Financial Group for Financing and Investment’s stock, which fell by 4.23%, registered the highest trading volume of 26.13 million shares.  

The All-Share Market index is facing resistance at 6,140 points, with expectations to see a correction movement during the week, capital market technical analyst Ibrahim Al-Failakawi told Mubasher.

The index may break the support level of 5,950 points to reach 5,800 points and then 5,600 points, he noted.
