The banks’ liquid assets valued at AED 521 billion at the end of June

UAE – Mubasher: High-quality liquid assets at the UAE banks grew by 6.5% quarter-on-quarter or AED 32 billion during the second quarter of 2019, data by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) showed.

The banks’ liquid assets valued at AED 521 billion at the end of June, compared to AED 489 billion at the end of March, according to data.

The increase in high-quality liquid assets is an indicator of the stability of the banking sector and one of the factors that boost confidence in banks.

Liquid assets’ growth also plays a role in attracting further deposits to the sector in the country, as well as attracting foreign investments.
