Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Methaq Takaful Insurance Company, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), has reported its unaudited condensed interim financial results for the first half of 2019.

The company has generated a profit for H1-19 of AED 11.82 million, versus AED 12.31 million in H1-18, according to a bourse filing.

Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) remained unchanged at AED 0.08 during the first six months of 2019, as compared to the same period a year ago.

The company’s takaful income reached AED 47.82 million in H1-19, compared to AED 57.20 million in the corresponding six-month period of 2018.

In the second quarter of 2019, profits dropped to AED 5.94 million from AED 8.015 million in the same quarter of 2018.

EPS stood at AED 0.04 in Q2-19, compared to AED 0.05 in the prior-year period.
