Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has maintained the upward trend on Thursday on the back of real estate stocks.

The DFM’s general index closed today’s trading session up 0.24% to 2,837.96 points, gaining 6.68 points.

Trading volume amounted to 194.68 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 235.92 million through 3,263 transactions.

The real estate sector increased by 0.80%, backed by Emaar Properties and Union Properties that added 1.92% and 0.29%, respectively.

The transport sector rose as well by 0.58% after Air Arabia’s stock jumped 3.45%, and the banks sector inched up 0.04%.

Market capitalisation gained AED 177 million and closed the session at AED 369.504 billion.

The DFM previously announced that Eid Al Adha holiday would start on Sunday, 11 August until Wednesday, 14 August.
