Mubasher: Employment across the 19-member Eurozone and the 28-member European Union (EU28) recorded the same gain in the second quarter of 2019, compared with the preceding quarter, according to official figures released on Wednesday.

Employment in both of the Eurozone and the EU28 edged up by 0.4% in Q2-19, compared a gain of 0.4% in both regions in Q1-19, the EU’s statistical office Eurostat said.

On an annualised basis, the number of employed persons rose by 1.1% in the Eurozone, and by 1% in the EU28 in the three-month period to last June.
