Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s non-oil exports reached $13.037 billion during the first six months of 2019, according to a report released by the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC).
The GOEIC have reported growth in five export councils including the agricultural council, whose exports grew to $1.575 billion in H1-19, compared to $1.446 billion in the year-ago period.
Meanwhile, exports of books and art types went up to $7.156 million from January to the end of June, from $6.67 million in H1-18, the report said.
“The export council of food industries recorded an increase in its value to become $1.559 billion during the first half of this year compared to $1.469 billion during the same period of the previous year,” GOEIC revealed.
GOEIC’s data showed that ready-made clothes exports rose to $800 million in the six-month period ended 30 June, while exports of medical industries hit $261 million during the same period.
