Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries reported a slight profit decline on an annual basis during fiscal year 2018/2019, the company’s modified unaudited financial results showed.

The pharmaceuticals firm’s profit slid to EGP 112.8 million in the twelve-month period ended 30 June, compared to EGP 118.2 million in the year-ago period, according to the company’s statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

Year-on-year, sales rose to EGP 829 million in FY18/19 from EGP 708.7 million.

During the first ten months of FY18/19, Alexandria Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries logged a net profit of EGP 112.607 million, compared to EGP 121.625 million in the year-ago period.
