DFM gains AED 468m on Sunday
The DFM’s general index inched up 1.24 points

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Sunday’s trading session in green territory on the back of selective buying on some stocks, including Damac Properties and Emirates NBD.

The DFM’s general index inched up 1.24 points, or 0.04%, to 2,797 points.

Market capitalisation gained AED 468 million and closed the session at AED 365.299 billion.

Arabtec Holding and Damac Properties’ stocks jumped by 2.45% to AED 1.67 and 1.83% to AED 0.94, respectively.

Trading volume amounted to 87.823 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 88.302 million through 1,441 transactions.

The investment and financial services sector added 0.39%, followed by the real estate sector that increased 0.36%.

On the other hand, the consumer staples sector remained stable, while the banks sector was the sole decliner with 0.36%.

Dubai Islamic Bank’s stock was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 18.176 million.
