Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in green on the back of foreign and Arab purchases.
The benchmark EGX30 index grew by 104.5 points, or 0.73%, to close at 14,399.7 points.
Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went up 0.52% to 542 points, while the broader EGX100 index rose by 0.49% to 1,427 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX50 index increased by 0.78% to 2,134 points.
Turnover reached EGP 509 million after 187.5 million shares were exchanged through around 19,600 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 389.9 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 20.9 million and EGP 369 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) advanced by 0.69% to EGP 75.99.
In the meantime, Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development topped the gainers after adding 5.91%, followed by Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals with 5.54%.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 5.2 billion to close at EGP 757.8 billion.
