Kuwait C.bank’s assets rise 5.2% in July 2019
The central bank’s assets totalled KWD 11.03 billion in July

Mubasher: The assets of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) rose by 5.15% year-on-year in July 2019, according to CBK’s recent data.

The central bank’s assets stood at KWD 11.03 billion ($36.37 billion) in July when compared to KWD 10.49 billion ($34.59 billion) in the same month in 2018.

Month-on-month, the assets levelled up by 0.55% in July 2019, compared to KWD 10.97 billion.

In July 2019, the CBK’s assets were distributed as KWD 10.83 billion worth of cash balances, bank accounts, bonds, certificates of deposit, treasury bills (T-bills), and foreign currency deposits, in addition to a value of KWD 164.66 million distributed on other assets.

Meanwhile, the central bank’s gold assets remained unchanged at KWD 31.72 million, while banknotes and coins registered KWD 1.88 billion.
