EGX ends Tuesday in green amid heavy liquidity
Market capitalisation increased by EGP 6.6 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note, supported by foreign purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 123.71 points, or 0.86%, ending the mid-week session at 14,428 points.  

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went up 0.91% to 551 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index increased by 0.94% to 1,443 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index grew by 1.8% to close at 2,172 points.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 218.12 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 95.6 million and EGP 122.4 million, respectively.

Trading volume stood at 276 million shares exchanged a turnover of EGP 1.05 billion through nearly 27,160 transactions.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) declined by 0.21% to EGP 75.62.

Market capitalisation increased by EGP 6.6 billion to close at EGP 762.04 billion.
