Blue-chip stocks weigh on ADX on Wednesday
The ADX's market cap shed AED 3.07 billion

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The declining blue-chip stocks have dragged down the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Wednesday.

The ADX’s general index closed today’s trading session down 0.56% to 5,040.62 points, losing 28.18 points.

Trading volume amounted to 70.755 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 160.170 million through 1,507 transactions.

The exchange’s market capitalisation shed AED 3.07 billion and closed the session at AED 517.358 billion.

The energy sector led top losers with 1.89%, followed by the real estate, the banks, and the telecommunication sectors that slid 1.29%, 0.52%, and 0.49%, respectively.

RAK insurance headed the declining stocks, falling 8% to AED 2.3, while Waha Capital topped gainers, adding 7.21% to AED 1.07.
